Description

The 2023 Baby Present Card Set is a sweet memory that captures the happiness and excitement of today so that it can be cherished and remembered for years to come. It is ideal as a baby shower or newborn gift. The gender-neutral packaging of this collection of five one-of-a-kind coins, which includes the beautiful “small moose” $1 coin (a set exclusive), functions as both a gift and a greeting card. You can write a heartfelt message to the baby, siblings, parents, and/or grandparent(s), together with the baby’s name and measurements at birth, inside to personalise your gift.

The Mint won’t be creating any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins with both the customary reverse designs and an obverse showing Queen Elizabeth II as we concentrate on remembering her reign (1952–2022). Instead, we are providing a collector’s edition of these yearly issues, which were only printed in a small quantity. These coins are non-circulational, which means they are legal tender but not meant for widespread use. The obverse also sports a unique design with four pearls, which stand for the four effigies of Elizabeth that have graced Canadian coinage as well as the double date of her reign.

This five-coin set will be the ideal baby shower present in 2023. Five cent, ten cent, twenty-five cent, one-of-a-kind dollar, and two-dollar coins are all included in the set in excellent numismatic uncirculated condition. The set’s centrepiece is a $1 coin that was never intended for circulation and is unique to this collection. The coin has a baby theme and a sweet illustration of a moose with alphabet blocks.

The set may be personalised by writing a personal note in the space provided on the package, which makes it flat and simple to mail (also eliminating the need for a separate card).

The obverse of this coin depicts a posthumous effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the addition of the double dates of her reign, 1952–2022, as fresh King Charles III dies were not yet prepared for it. The four pearls or dots in the spaces in between the dates are meant to symbolise the four effigies of the Queen that have featured on Canadian coinage over the years. Each coin in the collection is a special collector’s issue because the Royal Canadian Mint has said that they do not intend to release any of these 2023-dated Queen Elizabeth effigy coins for public circulation.
