The obverse side of 1 oz Johnson Matthey Stillwater Palladium Bars features an effigy of Lewis and Clark. The duo that lead the famous expedition through the lands of the Louisiana Purchase, Lewis & Clark were commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson to chart the lands the United States acquired from France and explore all the way to the Pacific Coast of the continent.

On the reverse face of Johnson Matthey Stillwater Palladium Bars are the hallmarks that identify the bar. Here, you will find the weight, metal content, and purity of the bar. The inscriptions even note that the palladium came from the Stillwater Complex.

The Stillwater Complex is located in Montana in the United States. This is one of only four known, major sources of palladium in the world. In the early 2000s, Johnson Matthey produced a range of palladium products using the William-and-Clark design with palladium sourced from the United States.
