Its jewellery-themed design features layers of ultra high relief engraving that lift and surround the undisputed star of this piece: a square-cut 0.20 carat Forevermark Black Label diamond.

This rare, precious stone is also a piece of our mining history: it is one of the last diamonds sourced from the Victor Mine in Northern Ontario before its closure.

Opened in 2008, the Victor Mine was Ontario’s first commercial diamond mine. The open pit mine is located in the remote James Bay lowlands, near the coastal community of the Attawapiskat First Nation. It was known for producing diamonds of exceptional clarity.

This flawless square-cut diamond features symmetrical facets that perfectly align to maximize the sparkle. The patented cut is exclusive to Crossworks Manufacturing Ltd., a Canadian company that is the top diamantaire in North America.

DESIGN

Designed by Chris and Rosina Reid of Three Degrees Creative, the jewellery-themed reverse features multiple layers of geometric shapes engraved in ultra high relief. The arrangement is an artistic interpretation of a diamond’s brilliance; it was inspired by the 0.20 ct. square-cut Forevermark diamond embedded at the centre of the design. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
