DESIGN

The reverse is an engraved rendition of Summertime Polar Bear by Canadian wildlife artist Robert Bateman. Beneath the text “CANADA 2020”, Ursus maritimus is shown resting on the rocky shores of Hudson Bay. The denomination of “2500 DOLLLARS” and an engraved reproduction of the artist’s signature are both positioned to the right of the wildlife portrait. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
